Everyone has a story.
I know so many people who have a story inside of them, burning to get out.
It’s time for me to begin. I’d love to take this journey with you.
I’d be willing to bet that it’s time to write your story, too.
In fact, the only thing holding me back from writing my book is being unsure of WHICH book to write.
I am a writer. I was born to write.
I’ve been writing all my life. As my dad often says, I’ve been writing ever since I learned how to hold a pencil.
I won my first writing contest in 3rd grade.
I was published in a kids’ motorsports magazine at the age of 14.
I’ve been blogging since 2007.
I’ve been a paid ghost writer, copywriter and editor for over six years.
I’ve been writing devotions for our church’s website for over three years.
Writing is my first love and my true calling. My other gifts are teaching, inspiring, encouraging and serving behind the scenes…and writing allows me to do all of those things.
But guess what?? You don’t have to BE a writer to write your story!!
My life’s purpose is to help women live lives of purpose. I want to speak more, encourage more, expand my influence more, all in an effort to help more women discover, embrace and live their purpose.
I believe that a book is my best path for accomplishing that.
Is writing a book YOUR path to your life’s purpose?
It’s time to write your story if…
- People keep telling you to write a book.
- You want to encourage others with your story.
- You already have a tile and cover that you daydream about.
- You write parts of your story but aren’t even sure what to do with it.
- You read other books and think, “I could’ve written that.”
- “Write a book” is on your bucket list.
- You have dreams, goals and ambitions and need a book to showcase your expertise or help connect you to your audience.
As I mentioned in my post That time I got ripped apart, life is too short to postpone your dreams…or to journey alone.
I would love to encourage you along the way! The best way I can do that is by inviting you to my Facebook group: “Write It! Writer’s Circle”
From there I’ll be sharing ideas, resources and tools for you as we walk this path together. I’ll also be sharing my own writing tips as well as inspiration for building your platform, beginning to brand yourself and the scoop on self publishing (which Drew and I are learning how to do). I’m excited to see where this goes!
We’ll also be talking about it on the TabithaDumas.com Facebook page if you’d like to meet up over there.
