In my life, I’m not out at meetings in high heels, styling models for fashion shows or spending hours per week scouring the stores for deals–I’m making dinner, driving kids to basketball, taking a walk at sunset or making art with our daughter. Shopping small and supporting local businesses is a passion of mine so I buy most of my clothes, makeup and jewelry from my friends who have boutiques or own their own business. You won’t see me doing “hauls” from anywhere–I’m more of a “shop by a list” and “get one or two pieces per season to freshen things up” kinda gal. I’m a bit of a health nut so while I aim to look polished and put-together, my “look” is as natural and toxin-free as possible.

I’m all about women doing what they need to do to feel good and being as glam or as simple as they want to be. For me, I’m not into fillers, extensions or complicated makeup or the latest nail trends and I tend to stick to the same shoes and bags on repeat. I go for pretty, approachable, colorful and fun–not trendy or chic. I’m more of the “mom next door” vibe who aims to connect with you, not impress you. Simply put, I’m an everyday lady helping everyday ladies. I love running into my clients during my day-to-day life and I strive for a “what you see is what you get” reputation. If you’re craving that same connection and camaraderie, you’re in the right place.

One caveat, though: When I am invited to a classy resort or a formal fundraiser or when it comes time to take promotional pictures, I don’t panic–I know how to dress the part, authentically. When God opens a door for you, I want you to walk through it feeling worthy and powerful, not stressed about what to wear.

Bottom line: after doing Color Analysis for many hundreds of women over the last 15 years, I’ve been yearning for a more cozy, supportive approach with face-to-face help, real-time feedback and strategic collaborations. Let’s get to know each other better so I can love on you and cheer you on, plus introduce you to some of my favorite like-minded ladies. They don’t call me The Friend Matchmaker for nothin’!

Why Tabitha’s Closet?

First of all, I’m welcoming you into my closet, a happy place where we can play dress-up and decide how we want to show up for our day. We’re going to hang out, laugh and have fun–like a slumber party! Second, my mom named me after the Tabitha mentioned in Acts 9:36 in the Bible. Tabitha was a woman who gave selflessly to the needy. They think she made clothes, repaired clothes or was a seamstress. I like to imagine she helped the local ladies feel good in their clothes. What’s clear is she impacted a lot of people and was an important member of the community. Her death was such a tremendous loss that the women in her community begged Peter to bring her back to life and when he did, the widows rejoiced! She was also the only woman in the Bible to be called a disciple of Jesus. My aim is to live up to her legacy of faith and charity.

It also happens that my purpose is to help other women live their purpose. We need each other to flourish and I’m honored to journey with you. My joy comes from your success (however you define it). This space is where I can encourage you and send you off to change the world.

My vision is for every meet-up to include a donation drive to assist women in need, from food to diapers to a snazzy blazer for a job interview to support organizations like the Pregnancy Care Center of Chandler, the ACTS Homeless Ministry and Dress for Success (plus the organizations you introduce us to). After our closet overhauls and clothing swaps we will make sure the overflow goes to Maggie’s Place and Hidden Treasures Thrift Store before anything is donated.

We’re so much better together and I know amazing things are going to happen in Tabitha’s Closet.

I can hardly wait to see you inside.
