When spring hits the stores, you’ll see pastels, florals and even checks and stripes, mostly in pastel colors, but not all spring colors work on all women. You may be wondering what the
spring colors for your Dominant Color Category
are.
Here’s help!
LIGHT
These are gals with blonde or white hair, fair skin and light to medium eyes.
Spring colors are perfect for you! Pale to medium hues are best.
Your “pop” colors are turquoise, pink, lavender and sapphire blue, which are all readily available for spring.

These colors are fabulous!

DEEP
Deep ladies have black or medium to dark brown hair, medium to dark skin tone and hazel, brown or black eyes.
Your “pop” colors are purple, true red, persimmon and royal blue…not exactly “spring colors.” What to do??
Wear pastels on your bottom half!
Navy and coral are one of my favorite combinations.

Try vivid versions of spring colors!
These blues and purples are perfect for a DEEP but still say “spring.”

You can also wear light colors, but put a DEEP color closer to your face.

SOFT
A SOFT has light to medium brown hair (often called “mousy” or “dishwater blonde”), light to medium skin tone and medium-intensity eyes (hazel, brown, blue or green).
SOFT ladies are also fortunate that spring colors work well for them.
Your “pop” colors are butter yellow, teal blue, coral and mint green. Those are beautiful medium-tone spring colors!
Dresses, tops, bottoms…embrace your colors!

CLEAR
CLEAR ladies have dark brown or black hair, very light to medium skin tone and bright or dark brown eyes.
Clear and BRIGHT hues are best so spring colors present a challenge.
Wear your usual high-contrast prints (black and white polka dots are a win!), just add spring colors like green and yellow. Be sure to keep them clear and bright!

Another trick is to wear the pastel piece, just paired with high-contrast black or white to keep with your CLEAR coloring.

This lilac color is very spring-y but also perfect for a CLEAR.

WARM
My red-heads!
WARM gals have red hair OR golden blonde or brown hair with red highlights, any skin tone and any eye color.
“Pop” colors are rust, butterscotch, copper and turquoise.
Spring is the time of year to embrace your turquoise for sure!
This is a gorgeous look and the turquoise blazer is perfect.

You can also look for pastels mixed with shades of copper, like this dress.

Again, shades of turquoise will look fabulous. She even paired it with lilac shoes!

COOL
My lovely COOL ladies have silver, gray or ash brown hair, light to medium skin tone and any color eyes.
“Pop” colors include ocean blue, royal purple, blue-red and soft pink.
The ocean blue and soft pink work especially well for spring.

Ocean blue/teal dress

Here’s a great trick: pair a vivid top with a pastel necklace. Fabulous!
