Even if it’s not your usual go-to, it’s fun to try a romantic style, even if it’s just for date night.
“Romantic style” means different things to different people but I say it’s anything feminine, sexy and/or girlie that says, “I know how to be romantic.” It’s not all white lace and hearts.
I’m participating in The Husband Project via Proverbs 31 Ministries as an online Bible study for the next month.
Project #7 is “Looking good for your man.”
I’m all about women looking good for themselves…but we all know that men appreciate when we make an effort to dress up a bit. I encourage you to ASK the man in your life what he likes but here are some ideas for romantic style that should make you both happy.

ROMANTIC STYLE
Romantic and feminine details
What makes a woman a woman is often in the details.
Men are intrigued by buttons, lace, bows, zippers and ties. Y’know…the stuff men don’t wear.
I have a whole Pinterest board of feminine details here.
Romantic colors
This one is up to interpretation but a go-to for a romantic style is shades of pink.
Pink is flattering on all skin tones and make most women look more vibrant and youthful.

Try something different
Kathi suggests it in the book and I agree. If you’re usually quiet and reserved, try animal print or red (or both together).
If you’re typically the bold type, try something demure and sweet. Mix it up a little.
Accentuate your best features
Showing a little skin is always romantic.
“Cold shoulder” tops are in style right now. SASSY!
Or show off those curvaceous legs.
Every woman, no matter your body type, can wear skinny jeans (or leggings or “jeggings”). Just be sure to cover your assets. Do I even have to tell you that men like tight pants?
Use some paint
Lipstick and nail polish are romantic. Red or pink are classic colors but maybe paint your nails in your man’s favorite color.
Or try something wild like bright yellow or midnight blue.
This is a sexy look sure to catch his eye!
Experiment with makeup
Romantic can be the dramatic smokey eye or cat eye look…
or a softer “peaches and cream” look.

Sexy shoes
What you wear on your feet can influence your attitude AND the way you walk. Try lace-up sandals.
A kitten heel is cute without compromising your safety.
As you can see, romantic style is in the details.
