I know in my heart that part of my purpose is helping women discover, embrace and live out their purpose. I have the honor of doing that on a regular basis, whether it’s helping a woman dress more confidently or facilitating an event where she gets to connect with like-minded women or brainstorming her next steps for completing a project. I am more and more sure of one critical factor, though, if you are
pursuing your purpose.
The main issue is one I truly lose sleep over–women who get swept up in the everyday chaos of life causing their true calling or their heart’s desire or their passion project to get pushed to the bottom of their priority list, never to be unearthed.
It’s so easy to live an ineffectual life. It’s what most people default to! But I know if you’re reading this, you are most likely a woman pursuing your purpose. That takes drive, intention, bravery, tenacity…and focus.
Focus comes down to vision.
Aaaahhh, vision. It’s elusive. If you’re like me, it’s constantly evolving as the pieces of the puzzle fall into place. When roles shift, the vision shifts. When a big failure or a big success comes along the vision shifts. A dream, a conversation, a “God nod” (I talk about those a lot of Instagram)…they all cause me to adjust my vision.
Even if the vision is a moving target, it is critical to staying focused.
For me, vision is often a picture of what I hope and dream for. It’s also small little details I want as part of my everyday life, like fresh herbs, blooming roses, cute shoes and working hands. Those elements represent my grandest vision for my life–of living in peace and extending it to others. I have visions of walking on plush carpet in high heels, of running a collaborative work space for women, of hosting or emceeing a large event. And keeping these visions in front of us is what pursuing your purpose is all about. That brings me to…
the importance of having a vision board.
Purposeful people have to have a vision board. Or a vision shelf, or a vision mini book. Something tangible you can put your hands on and study and even modify.
The process of creating a vision board is enlightening and inspiring unto itself! That’s why I love hosting vision board parties or workshops and I’d be happy to do so for your team or group if you’re in the east Phoenix valley. A group of six is perfect to fit into my home studio.

You can even sit down with me in person or virtually to go on a vision quest!
Looking through the words and images I provide will help you see things with new eyes and help you envision your potential more clearly as well as decide what you need to do next. I’d love to facilitate the process for you!
You have things to accomplish, lady. Fulfilling your purpose depends on focusing on your vision and I’d love to help you do it! Contact me if you would like to work together on it.
