Keeping a gratitude journal is a wonderful idea year round but if you’ve never gotten into the habit of it, November is a great time to start! Some people simply list three things they’re grateful for every night. If you want to keep a more detailed record or simply spend more time in a place of gratitude…
here are prompts for your gratitude journal.
(which I will add to over time and will gratefully accept your suggestions as well!)
Today I will choose to focus on…
In this moment, I am thankful for…
Things I noticed today:
Ways I can express or share my gratitude:
Basic or simple things I am grateful for:
What beauty is here in the present moment awaiting acknowledgement?
Things I don’t want to take for granted:
What one word could I focus on this week to help me maintain a grateful perspective?
Where has generosity shown up unexpectedly in my life recently?
Who has “made my day” lately? How can I let them know?
Besides making lists, here are a few other ideas for how to live with an attitude of gratitude:
Listen to music that reminds you to be grateful. Here’s a favorite of mine (“Gratitude” by Brandon Lake): https://youtu.be/dQdfs5S6jyA?si=0P6ChjaF1kR-gywQ
Send thank-you notes weekly.
Practicing receiving compliments and “thank-yous” more graciously.
Tab’s Tip:: Share what’s on your list with a friend, loved one or in a group text. Maybe even post about it on social media. The world needs more people who are noticers, who slow down to appreciate the small things and life, and who see the good around them.
Please share what’s on your list with me! Post in the Facebook group or reply to my recent email. I’d love know!
