1. Incorporate fall items into your booth or display.

These could include

  • pumpkins
  • leaves
  • acorns
  • burlap
  • apples
  • plaid
  • wood crates
  • sunflowers
  • metal buckets
  • pine cones
  • scarecrows

Think of creative ways to display your products or literature using the above items. Make sure it fits with your brand!

Behold my “Let Me Rephrase That” writing services vendor booth from September 2013.

I had fall candy, bookmarks to give away, a magazine article I’d been featured in and my business cards at my booth. My cards where tucked into my vintage typewriter.

I also had an “enter to win” jar and my email sign-up sheet. I thought the pencils and ruler gave a subtle nod to back-to-school time.

I also incorporated a vintage fall tablecloth, a sunflower, an owl and other fall-ish touches to spruce it up, attract attention and increase engagement.

Some other things you could do:

Layer on a burlap table runner.

Set pumpkins at various heights along your table.

Display a fall banner across the front.

Back everything with fall paper or fabric.

Cut apple shapes out of paper for people to write their information on to enter your raffle drawing.

Use wood crates to add height to your table (her booth has a lot of great ideas)!

2. Remember the power of smell!

Use scanted oils, have a tart burner with a fall tart or use cinnamon-scented pine cones to get visitors to your booth in a fall mood.

I highly recommend anything from Grace Note Candle Co’s FALL tart section!

3. People are already in holiday shopping mode so have gift ideas available and wrap them in holiday paper.
4. Have a fall-related goody to give away, like a cute spider craft (with your information attached, of course)

5. Hang something (your business cards, a discount, the earrings you sell) from a tree branch! Cute AND interactive.

6. Incorporate “gratitude” into your booth.

Maybe an “I’m grateful for my customers!” gift with purchase, let them choose a quote about gratitude out of a jar (or WRITE one of their own!) or just a hand-painted sign that says “grateful.” People love that stuff.

7. This is everyone’s busy time of year so anything you can offer that helps them simplify or save time will be appreciated!
8. Dress in fall colors or wear a fall scarf. YOU should look fall-ish, too!

    support you.

Great post! When I design my company’s booth for trade shows, I plan for the booth to be both visually-appealing for customers and conducive for displaying the products. I also try to incorporate seasonal aspects in my display too. Thanks for sharing these tips!
