The year 2025 was my first without my mom and was my busiest year in business in a decade. I’m still working on the words.

This is our most recent family photo. Andrew (on the left) is 20, Ethan is 16, Drew and I are 48 and Kate is 8. These people are my world and I’m so grateful this business of mine gives me the flexibility to work and help people while also being a wife, mom and homemaker.

My word for 2026: FRIEND.

My word emerged after I reviewed 2025 and completed all of my journaling exercises. I’ll write more about it soon. The short version is I want to own being a friend of God as well as being a friend to others. Plus I want to be open to new friendships!
